Here are some drawings to make you ask WTF?

It's been a long time since I contributed to Illustration Friday forum. The topic this week was CRACKED. How could I let that pass? Well, I almost did.

WW2 CALVARY MAN

I painted this acrylic sketch for a get well card my wife gave her 92 year old uncle Rudy. He was in the U.S. Calvary in W.W. II before they transformed it into an Armored division. He's a great guy and lived through some of the best and worst times this country's seen. I used an internet photo for reference so this doesn't actually look like him.

Face Sketches

These are sketches done while I was scanning art. I then scanned them and colored them in Photoshop. I used the brushes there to simulate a kind of watercolor painting technique. Why?
