The lightning bolts are a very strong graphic, but the kicker is the subtle pattern in the background field. Top drawer!

I love looking at thumbnails of European graphic novels and illustrations and trying to imagine what the content of the actual book is. I think a good image or cover should be somewhat open to interpretation, a spring board for the imagination.
