WW2 CALVARY MAN


I painted this acrylic sketch for a get well card my wife gave her 92 year old uncle Rudy. He was in the U.S. Calvary in W.W. II before they transformed it into an Armored division. He's a great guy and lived through some of the best and worst times this country's seen. I used an internet photo for reference so this doesn't actually look like him.

i love the earthy tones! horses kind of scare me a bit, and i can never draw them very well. what did you paint it on?

They scare me as well. I wish I drew them better too. This was on watercolor paper. (Are you graduating this spring?)

i am not, i have about a year and a half left until i graduate since i was a transfer student :P
